A twist on the Jack Rose cocktail (Applejack, lemon and grenadine), our Jackie Rose uses Laird's Applejack, our homemade pompelmocello (or grapefruit-cello, as we've been calling our grapefruit rendition of limoncello) as its citrus component, and grenadine. It's tart and sweet and a ridiculously pretty color. We've served ours with a large ice cube, because we imagine drinking these on the lawn playing bocce in the summer sun. And yes, I totally do that.
2 oz applejack
3/4 oz homemade pompelmocello
1 T grenadine
grapefruit twist and cherry garnish
Combine ingredients with ice in shaker. Shake well and strain into a chilled glass over ice. Garnish with grapefruit twist and cherries.
