A nice dinner at home sounds like a stellar way to spend Valentine's Day, so we've come up with a wintery blood orange and pomegranate sangria that's equally tasty and pretty. It's easy to prep — as in, it takes 5 minutes! — but you'd never know. I'm not a frilly Valentine's kind of girl, but I can't resist a gorgeous, pink cocktail either. And I like this balance of fruits, because it's neither cloyingly sweet nor too tart.
Happy Valentine's Day, friends!
BLOOD ORANGE POMEGRANATE SANGRIA
1 bottle white wine (we used a dry Spanish white)
1/4 cup light rum
1/2 cup pomegranate juice
1 blood orange cut into thin wheels
blood orange wheel garnish
Mix all ingredients in a large container. Chill overnight. Serve over ice with a blood orange wheel garnish.
