This week's installment of the Where I'm Drinking series brings us to Houston, Texas with one of my most favorite designers, Bailey McCarthy. I've been following Bailey's interiors blog, Peppermint Bliss, for years, and we finally had the chance to collaborate recently on some product for her amazing bedding and interiors shop, Biscuit Home (She interviewed me here).
Her taste is polished and put together, a little bit prepster and over-the-top, and always has a sense of whimsy and irony that I gravitate to.
Here, Bailey tells us where she's likely to kick back for a cocktail in Houston, Texas. I reckon this chica knows how to have a good time.
Anvil, our friendly neighbor! They make some of the best cocktails in town and our personal favorite - a Pliny's. You can often find the Biscuit team here after work.
[Anvil's Pliny's Tonic: Citadelle Dry Gin, Lime, Cucumber, Mint, Habanero Tincture — yes, please!]
LATE NIGHT DRINKS
Shake. We tend to be slight homebodies. We love using our cocktail books for inspiration, and a recent favorite has been The Shake Book!
HAIR OF THE DOG / BRUNCH
Tiny Boxwoods. Bottomless white wine mojitos...need we say more?
Thanks, Bailey! I wanted to show you all some of my favorites from the Biscuit Home wares (including our own, of course!)...
And some of my very favorites of her interiors... Pretty awesome, right?
