WHERE I'M DRINKING: WASHINGTON DC WITH SALLY IRMER OF SALT & SUNDRY

For this go-round of our Where I'm Drinking series, we have Sally Irmer the Associate Creative Director one of our favorite stores Salt & Sundry in Washington, DC. Of course we love them because they sell a ton of our glassware, but they also have an amazing assortment of housewares and pantry —shrubs, tonics, salt!!!—some of my favorite things to shop for. Somehow, I can always justify some fancy salt (these guys stock a travel "pinch tin" of Maldon salt—ladies after my own heart).

Here, Sally tells us about her favorite haunts in Washington, DC...

Thanks, Sally. I'm going to go have a pina colada right now :)

HAPPY HOUR

Bar Charley. This cozy little bar set in an English basement in DuPont Circle has a delicious cocktail and small bites menu. I love their Jack Rose cocktail [Laird's Applejack, House Grenadine, Lime] with a side of chimichurri fries.

LATE NIGHT DRINKS

2 Birds 1 Stone. Their ever-changing cocktail list never disappoints. I'm a super fan of their piña coladas, featuring house-spiced rum.

HAIR OF THE DOG / BRUNCH

Sally's Middle Name. I'm admittedly partial to the name, but I'm even more fond of Sally's fresh, locally-sourced menu. They're one of the few spots in town to serve Monday brunch — a huge perk for anyone who works on the weekends!
