Folks, I had this all planned out. In a gesture of "Hey, I know you and I featured your favorite cocktail on the blog for Father's Day" towards my husband, Willy, I prepped a post about the Rob Roy cocktail, the cousin of the Manhattan. But then I interviewed him for the blog, and he declared that he's tiring of the Rob Roy. Tiring of the Rob Roy!? You think you know a guy.
He declared his unwavering love for the Aviation which he jokingly calls an Aviator. Well, we've already featured that on the blog, bud. So here's the Rob Roy, in all it's faded glory, for those of you who have never had one or who haven't tired of it already.
Happy freaking Father's Day : )
2 oz scotch whiskey
1 oz sweet vermouth
3 dashes Angostura Bitters
Combine scotch, sweet vermouth, and the bitters in a mixing glass and fill with ice. Stir and strain into a chilled glass. Top with a cherry.
